Valerie Trucchia  is a visual artist. French born from Italian parents. The work My Mother and I (left) starts a series of ink drawings “Oppressions”, expressing the overpowering relationships in humanity, from the family nucleus to the manipulation of masses.

Bob Hagan is an accidental artist.  Interviewing with the National Security Agency, he was told, “go back to school and get art out of your system”.  Art must be subversive.

The work (right) the Triumph of Civic Virtue over Unrighteousness starts the series “Regime Change”. one of two series (also “Founders”) being shown.

(Note: Susan Greenstein @ 440 Gallery is also a PSWT Artist.)

The 2016 Open Studio Weekend brought many art lovers, neighbors and friends together

3The 35 artists of Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists say thank you to the many visitors who came to our studios and art spaces last weekend. We hope you discovered interesting art, perhaps found some ideas for holiday and personal gifts, and had a chance for some conversation about art and techniques and our Brooklyn neighborhoods.

You can stay in touch with each artist through the Directory of Artists where you will find contact information. If you would like to see a piece again, or look at more work, contact the artist to arrange for a private consultation. Several artists are still offering special discounts on their work.

Check Facebook to stay up to date on some of the special demos and exhibitions that many of our artists will be participating in. We will post special holiday-themed sale opportunities too.

We look forward to seeing you again at an art event in Park Slope and Windsor Terrace!

Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists Open Studio Weekend, November 12 & 13

Looking at art and making art keeps a lot of us sane. The artists of Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists hope that you will visit us in our studios and art spaces this weekend to see what we’ve been working on. We are eager to share our art—the beauty, the thought, the process—and open up discussions about how art and making things by hand add so much to our lives.

Go to the Directory of Artists to find each artist’s address, open hours, and contact information.

Check Facebook to stay up to date on some of the special demos that will be going on during the weekend, as well as more information about each artist. Dress warm, wear good walking shoes, bring $$ if you’re looking for gifts or something special for yourself. If you’re traveling to Brooklyn via subway, check the MTA website for any last-minute transportation issues in Park Slope and Windsor Terrace.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
